“Sometimes you just can’t be sure that a vacation rental you reserve on-line is going to be as good as it appears…. Well, Casa Luna exceeded our expectations!!! The photos are spot-on, as are the amenities listed. We just got back from a family vacation, 2 sisters and our families along with our mom, and had the best time. There was so much room for all 10 of us, and the boys (ages 4-15) thoroughly enjoyed the pool and “party” area, although they wished there was more lighting at the pool area for night-time swimming. The house was clean and lacked for nothing; the kitchen was stocked with plenty (even spices) for all of us to eat in – which we did almost each night (we found that the restaurant prices are substantial for a family of 10). And yes, quiet places could be carved out for when it was needed!!! As for our time on the island, we highly recommend Cinnamon Bay and Salt Pond Bay. For the more adventurous, Waterlemon Bay is beautiful & the L’esperance (or Reef Bay) hike is well worth the time (book those early through the National Park). Shipwreck Landing & Skinny Legs are good in Coral Bay, and the Tap Room and High Tide were really good in Cruz Bay. Definitely hit Starfish Market, but Calibash is well stocked and much closer to Casa Luna. Kathy was a tremendous help and Ash answered all of our questions upon our arrival to Casa Luna (we even got a ride to the car rental). There were even treats in the refrigerator just for us! All said, I would highly recommend this property to anyone interested in staying on St. John, whether as a family gathering or several couples traveling together. The views are spectacular and the location is great for visiting each part of the island.”
